Massage therapies trending in 2018

Massage has been practiced for thousands of years. Today, if you need a massage, you can choose from among various massage therapy styles with a wide variety of pressures, movements, and techniques. These all involve pressing, rubbing, or manipulating muscles and other soft tissues with hands and fingers. Sometimes, even forearms, elbows, or feet are used.

Thus the following Massage therapies are trending in 2018:-

1. Myofascial release:
Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.

2. Stretching massage therapy:
Muscle injuries are more common now than they were 50 years ago. That’s not because we’re exercising harder. It’s because we’re more sedentary. As a result, stretching is more important than ever.

3. Deep tissue massage therapy:
Deep tissue massage therapy is similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia.

4. Taping massage therapy:
Massage therapists use kinesiology taping to prolong relief and increase the body’s natural ability to heal itself .

5. Medical massage therapy:
Medical Massage is not a specific technique but a therapy prescribed by a physician as an additional or main treatment for several conditions.
